Ballet Classes Ages 7+

  • Beginner Ballet is designed for dancers with little to no ballet experience, providing a strong foundation in classical ballet technique, posture, alignment, and musicality. Through structured barre and center work, dancers will develop coordination, strength, flexibility, and grace while learning fundamental ballet terminology and movement.

    Student placement will be primarily based on skill level assessments, ensuring that each dancer is in the appropriate class to support their development. This class offers young dancers the opportunity to perform and gain stage experience, as they will compete in three local competitions in the Edmonton area and showcase their progress in the year-end recital.

Dancers will engage in structured barre work, center exercises, and choreography, developing strong technical foundations and performance quality.

    To enroll in this class, dancers must:
    ✔️ Have prior ballet experience
    ✔️ Be evaluated and placed by the studio
    ✔️ Be enrolled in at least one other Level 1 competitive class

    Dancers in this class will compete in four competitions, including three local events and one out-of-town competition, and will also perform in the year-end recital. Regular attendance is strictly monitored, as consistency and dedication are essential for success in a competitive environment.

    Previous ballet experience is required, and dancers are strongly encouraged to enroll in Ballet Tech to further develop their technique alongside choreography. Placement in this class will be based on assessment.

    ✔️ Ballet Tech is strongly encouraged to support technical development
